... Nature, or Nurture, or Both?

When most people see BabyK, the first resemblance that is overtly obvious is to her dad. She also bears strong resemblance to her Memme, great-grandfather and even her cousins. There are times, however where she is undoubtedly my daughter.
The other day BabyK was playing with the remote like any typical toddler. I often remove the batteries from our remotes and allow BabyK to play with them as they seem to spark joy for her. In fact, we have a rouge remote that connects to absolutely nothing for this very purpose. After a couple minutes I noticed BabyK was starting to giggle. Instead of looking at the remote -which I thought was the source of entertainment- she was looking off to the TV (I'm sure you can already see where this is going). I looked to see what it could be, and low and behold on my screen was none other than Mr. Bean.

Obviously I had forgotten to remove the batteries from the remote. What was less obvious was how BabyK just happened to not only power on the TV, but also select the Roku channel and resume a show that I had watched months ago. However she did it, she did, and she loved every minute of it. Needless to say, she has good taste.
For those of you who know BabyK, you are likely aware that she hates hats. Unless it has a strap, a hat will be removed seconds after it has been put on with a loud grunt and frown. Strangely enough, one day when I was folding laundry, she decided she liked a hat. Now, this wasn't any hat. Truth be told, it wasn't a hat at all. This time BabyK was insisting her diaper cover be worn on her head like a hat, and having a good laugh trying to get it on.
For those of you that know me, you may also know that as a child, I may have also thought it comical to wear underwear on my head. In my defense, it was clean and made for an incredible addition to my costume.
So for all the ways that BabyK reminds me of her dad, she is most certainly also my daughter. One day I hope to bestow on her better character traits and tastes than Mr. Bean and underwear hats. I hope that day people will look at BabyK and think "She must be God's girl" because she looks and acts like Jesus (minus the beard of course)
