Over the last several weeks our little lady has really found her singing voice. She has long showed signs of enjoying music but to hear her make music of her own is something extra sweet. This is just another reason why I find each month, each year with BabyK gets better and better.

She loves to make micro phones out of anything she find lying around. We often catch her singing into the latch of the baby gate, the handle of her doll stroller and even daddy’s jaw harp. This morning for a special treat, HubbyK caught her singing “Silent Night, Holy Night” as she flipped through the pages of her nativity pop up book.

It shouldn’t surprise us. We both are musical and have heard the stories of us at her age doing similar. Yet I have to admit, I never imagined something so simple could bring so much joy. It really doesn't matter if she is on key, if her voice is quiet or booming; each note sounds sweeter to the soul than the last one.

It also shouldn't come as a surprise that the praise of a child could be so powerful. One's heart can't help but be touched as she raises her voice in beautiful purity and contagious joy to our God. She has no reason to doubt His love or His provision. Each new day is a blessed gift and that alone should be enough to bring forth gratitude.

I pray that you continue to sing all the days of your life BabyK and that God would continue to use your gift to bless others.

Psalm 104:33

"I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live."

Psalm 8:2

"Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger."
