Well, this is the 50th post I've written and I'm still amazed so much time has passed. My heart is overjoyed every time someone shares with me that one of these posts brightened their day, or was helpful in some way. Knowing that writing can make even the smallest difference means a lot to me and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of your life.

"Blessed" sometimes feels like an over-used and under appreciated word these days. You can get it written on a rug, coffee cup or a key chain. But to truly appreciate all that it entails, I feel we need to sit down and really let it soak in.

As some of you may know, we were recently able to purchase an SUV at an incredible price from an extremely generous couple. When the opportunity first arose, I shrugged it off thinking "we don't need a new vehicle". But before I was able to let the thought even leave my mind, a still small voice seemed to whisper to my heart "You don't think you need a new vehicle, what if God does?".

It's true we've always drove old cars to avoid car payments. I avoid those like the corona virus (...too soon?). Just the week before I had expressed to HubbyK how nice it would be to for once not have to worry about having car issues on a regular basis. Even before that, I mentioned how lovely it would be for BabyK not to have her head bumped against the car door every time I get her in and out of her car seat. The more I thought about it, the more I found reasons why it could be a good idea and felt I should give the opportunity some investigating.

Long story shorter, we ended up getting an incredible SUV with more bells and whistles than we could have ever imagined. Our tax return even came in right as we needed the money, and covered exactly what we needed. I know people believe in coincidences, but after knowing God on a personal level for awhile, I know this has Him written all over it.

Being blessed isn't just having what you need, what you want or what you like. Being blessed is receiving incredible, unmerited favour. I feel incredibly blessed to be BabyK's mom, but also the Creator of the Universe's daughter. What He has done for me I could never repay. Yet I know that He would want me to show others this same love whether its seems natural or not.

PS: Today is the day! Tonight at 7:00pm we will draw the name for the lucky winner of the $25 Starbucks gift card. Make sure you get your vote in for your favourite LambyK photo here!

Matthew 6:26

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
