I had done it again. Two hours ago I had told myself that as soon as she was done nursing I would take a well deserved bathroom break. It was the same thought I had when we laid her down for the mid-morning nap and during the last 2 diaper changes. Don’t get me wrong, I was thankful I had been able to hold it in up to this point (I must give credit to all those pelvic floor exercises).

But alas, here I was, trapped in our rocker with my precious angel settled at my breast and my bladder reminding me it had been patient for long enough. I weighed the desire to not upset BabyK against knowing I had to go NOW. I had already waited too long and I wasn't likely to make it to the bathroom anyway. I knew this mommy diaper had held up to my laughs and sneezes, but now it was time to see what it was really made of.

Grown ups can pee themselves and still remain dignified. I know because I have. Would I chose differently? Probably not. Did I learn something that day? Definitely. I learned a little more humility and that those adult diapers are as equally comfortable as they are effective. 10/10 would recommend.

1 Peter 3:3-4

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight"
