... A Leap of Faith

As much as we try to prepare and plan for parenthood, I don't believe we are ever truly "ready" to become one. No amount of books can replace that natural intuition that seems to kick in once the baby has arrived. Countless hours of babysitting can never replace what it means to be on call 24/7. You will never have enough money, time, or energy to raise a child - at least not in my humble opinion. Yet beauty lies in this simple truth; children are a blessing from God. He is the one who gives, He is the one who provides, and He is the one who guides.

Lately, I've been working on a new venture. Much like parenting, it is something that I've dreamed of doing for some time now, but never felt it was the right time, nor prepared. But after much prayer, and inspiration I am finally ready to take the leap of faith. I have decided to open an Esty Shop!

I have previously shared my struggles with finding a new rhythm as a stay-at-home mom and my own personal devotion time. Three years in and I can say things are certainly getting easier. The most recent development was the inspiration to make content that would potentially aid other mothers like me. I love it when my personal study of God's word can include art in some form or another.

After participating in the 1000 Hours Outside challenge (Where one colour a shape on a picture for every hour spent outside), I was inclined to create something similar for my bible reading. Alas; Colour By Chapter Gospel Bookmarks were born and in turn my FaithmarkDesigns Etsy shop.

This digital product shop is a perfect creative outlet for me that allows me to spend time with the kiddos, without worrying about inventory and shipping. With a desire to create printable design other moms can use to encourage them in their faith, I'm nervous, excited, and curious to see how God might use this. I hope that others will be as blessed by it as I have already been. Even if one thing encourages one person, it will all be worth it.
